The British International School is located within a spacious, green and tranquil environment. It provides students with an education rooted in the British National Curriculum but blended with key elements of the Nigerian provision at KS3.

Here at BIS, we aim to support, guide, challenge and grow our students into world leaders, authors, politicians, artists, thinkers, researchers and so much more. Our “every pupil everyday” philosophy focuses on our determination to identify, harness and develop the individual abilities of each student and to ensure that every day a pupil is at BIS their experience in tailored to stretch and challenge them.  This, in turn, secures independence of mind, builds personal confidence, broadens each individual’s view on life and the career pathways open to them.

Our accomplishments have seen our students being rewarded with excellent examination results and being regularly recognised as producing some of the best C.I.E. academic achievers in Nigeria and, on occasions, producing the highest achievers in the world. Other students are bringing championships home to the school in a range of sports including, most recently, rugby and international swimming competitions.

The COBIS inspection of June 2018, acknowledged the positive parent and student feedback of the school – praising our excellent academic record, the approachability of the staff, how safe the school makes them feel and the ‘true spirit of community and loyalty’ across the school.
