Dr. Robert Baker

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Dr. Robert Baker, the former Vice Principal of the British International School. Dr. Baker passed away earlier this month and was laid to rest at a quite family service in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Baker, Mr Baker to his beloved students and Rob to his friends and colleagues exemplified all that is good about BIS. Underneath his gruff exterior beat the heart of a gentleman who always put the needs of his students and colleagues first.  This was the case when he first joined the school in September 2003 and remained so until he left us last July.

Many students owe Mr Baker a great debt; he put them on the right track when they needed guidance and always ensured their academic and other opportunities in school were of the highest calibre. Without the influence of Dr Baker this school would be a much poorer place.
