Our congratulations to the winners and all who took part it was wonderful to see so many students and parents out on the fields cheering the runners on.
With the turn in the weather we were forced to cancel the CS DON Fun Run and retired to New horizons out of the rain. Following the presentation of prizes Mrs Duke of CS DON thanked all the students and parents for taking part and spoke eloquently on the need for us all to pass out the message of cancer awareness and the need to act quickly if there is the slightest suspicion anything is wrong.
Due to the generosity of our students the sum of N 21500 has been raised so far for the CS DON Charity, money that will go towards the support of children afflicted by this dreadful disease.
The students ended the morning receiving t-shirts promoting cancer awareness and enjoying a small snack. Our thanks go out to all who supported this event, especially our friends at CSDON and the PE Department.
Meet the Teachers.
Directly following the above events teachers were available to meet with parents in New Horizons. We were delighted that so many parents took this opportunity to have an informal chat with their children’s teachers. More formal conversations will take place on Saturday November 15th when we hold the first round of Parent Teacher Conferences for the 2014-2015 Academic year.
