2014-2015 BIS Entry Tests.
Kabiyesi Scholarship Examination.
A total of 59 keen and enthusiastic young people sat the first round of BIS entry tests for the 2014-2015 Academic Year last Saturday morning. Following a brief talk from the principal on the ethos of BIS and the importance of putting learning at the centre of all we do the candidates sat the various papers in New Horizons.
Whilst their children were hard at work parents had the opportunity to tour the campus guided by BIS students and attended a question and answer session with the Principal. Throughout the morning it was stressed that the main purpose of the entry papers is to judge whether or not this school is the right place for each individual student.
The test papers have now been corrected and parents been informed of the results, we are pleased to report that the overall standard of the entries was very good reflecting the good work being done by many primary schools around the city. Following our deliberations we identified three candidates who stood out who have been invited back to school for an interview with the Principal to determine the winner of the inaugural ‘Kabiyesi ‘scholarship.
We would like to thank all the parents involved for their interest in BIS and giving up their time to help support the school’s entrance procedure.
Next weekend we have a second set of entrance tests followed by a third round of tests in March. However if any parents are unable to fit in with this programme tests for entry to school in September 2014 can be arranged on alternative dates via the Registrar’s Office.
This is also a good time to publicly thank our Registrar’s Department for all the work they do behind the scenes here at BIS.
