BIS Principal's Newsletter 22nd November 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week's letter is very brief as the school's focus is on the examinations to be taken by students in Years 7-10 next week. These are key assessments and we expect our students to prepare well for them. We would like to be very clear that the end of the examinations on December 2nd is not the end of the term. In addition to going through papers, an essential part of the students' learning, they will undertake further work which will count towards their assessment next term. Our holiday provision is more than adequate and we expect full attendance until December 16th when we close with the final parent/teacher conference.

Congratulations to our swimming team who took part in an AISEN swimming Gala at Grange School last week. We came third out of ten schools and our team performed well against keen competition.

A debating team from BIS also took part in a contest organised by AISEN on Saturday of last week. We reached third place out of ten schools and our team performed well.

Finally a request for your support of Fun Day which will be held here on Saturday 3rd December. Our PTA Executive Committee is working very hard to make this a success and seeks your help in organising this key event in our school calendar.

With best wishes for the week ahead,

Yours sincerely,

Howard Bullock.
