BIS Principal's Newsletter 24th February 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope that everyone had a pleasant and enjoyable half term; equally I hope that it was a time of focussed study for those facing public examinations imminently.
The next few weeks will be very busy and we ask that you take careful note of all of the items below.

Annual Formal Dinner
Our annual students' formal dinner, organised by our PTA Executive Committee, will take place in New Horizons this Saturday evening (27th February 2016). It will begin at 5.00 pm and end at 9.30. It promises to be a very special evening. Tickets are available from the Accounts Office.

Water Games
A group of our Year 10 students have organised a morning of water based fun and games this Saturday at 11.00 am. The proceeds will go to charities supported by the school. The students have made a lot of effort in organising this event and we hope for a large turnout.

Donosti Cup Deposits
Deposits for those wishing to take part in this year's Donosti Cup in Spain must be paid by the end of school on Monday 29th February. The sum of 700 Pounds Sterling may be paid in Naira.

IGCSE Art Practical
A reminder that the final IGCSE Art Practical examination will take place across two days on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th February.

Whole School Photograph
Our whole school photograph will take place on Wednesday March 2nd at 8.00 am promptly. Please ensure a punctual arrival for all students on that day.

Sixth Form Open Day
We will be holding another open morning for students wishing to join the BIS Sixth Form. This will take place on Saturday 5th March at 10.00 am.

Year 7 Entrance Examinations
The third and final entrance examination of the year for Year 7 applicants will take place on Saturday 12th March.

With best wishes for a pleasant week.

Howard Bullock.
