BIS Newsletter 2nd October 2015

Dear Students, Parents and Teachers,

I hope you had a very enjoyable long weekend and National Day. The school has settled into its routine and, as is the way, more and more activities are coming up within the next few weeks.

Wednesday was our international day where students were able to come to school dressed in their best National costumes or in mufti with some element of green. Each student donated 500 naira. We would like to send congratulations to Oghenevona Nneka Audu-Ohwavborua and Emuvoke Agoda who won the competition for the best dressed students.  Later in the afternoon we held a House quiz based on Nigeria. Jade came out the winners in a very close competition.

The first set of effort reports were sent out on Wednesday. If you did not receive a copy, please contact Mrs Arole as soon as possible.

Mr Okosodo would like to thank all year 10 and year 11 students who have brought in the photocopies required for entrance to exams. One or two of you may have forgotten, in which case, please can you bring in the data page of your international passport and three passport photographs as soon as possible.

It is very important that your child/ren are collected from the school at the correct time. If you are running late please contact the school to let us know and, where possible, please make alternative arrangements. If there is any change to your normal routine, i.e another person collecting your child, please let us know. You can phone 01 774 8066 /01 7737547  or email via  registrar@bisnigeria.org to inform the Registrar’s office. In addition, if your child will be absent from school please use the same medium to inform the school via the Registrar’s office so we are aware of their absence.
